Harlem Globetrotters: Play it Forward

“Through this program, I had an eye-opening moment. Growing up, I was taught to handle things myself, to never depend on anyone, to take care of my own, and that if I wanted something, only hard work would get it. So, I always felt ashamed to ask others for help because it made me feel incompetent…as if I wasn’t working hard enough. But through this program, you have taught me a valuable lesson – that we’re all in this together as human beings, and everything can’t be done alone – sometimes, you need to depend on others and not be ashamed to ask because this is what God called us here to do.

I would really like to thank you for helping me fix my car. No one has ever shown such kindness and willingness before in my life, and I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate you for helping me. So, thank you again for being my blessing this summer. I know fixing a car might not seem like such a big deal to many, but working for a company that genuinely cares for their employees and can assist and teach them lessons like the one I learned from this experience is unheard of. I am so grateful for this program and for all of you!”
