Introducing the JoDee Herschend Shining Light Grant

Earn $5,000 for your favorite charity

The JoDee Herschend Shining Light Award was created in 2019 to celebrate the memory and giving spirit of JoDee Herschend. This award has been presented annually at Herschend University (HU) to the property that best demonstrates a significant positive impact on its immediate community.

Starting at HU 2024, the award will be given to an individual rather than a property.

Grant applications have closed as of the 1/5/24 deadline.

How it Works

  • Tell us about your passion! Complete the application below.
  • Applications will be reviewed blindly, without host names, by a committee that includes members of the Herschend family and Herschend Enterprises leadership.
  • The grant winner will be announced at Herschend University
  • $5,000 will be donated in the winner’s name directly to the charity identified in your application.

Application Requirements

  • You must be a registered attendee for HU 2024.
  • The charity selected must be a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit entity.

Applications will be accepted through January 5, 2024.
